Purpose

ITD INTERNATIONAL is dedicated to assist learning and performance professionals in their approach to improve competence, productivity and performance at the workplace. The central objective in all ITD programs and services is the linkage of human competency and performance with real-life business goals and strategies.


History

The Institute of Training and Development (ITD) started in 1969 in Germany as the General Training Center (GTC) and expanded to the USA in 1989. ITD is an internationally recognized performance improvement consulting, training and publishing firm, providing programs and services to more than one thousand clients worldwide.

It was a natural evolution in the late 1990’s when the management team of ITD began to explore the feasibility of founding a university with a focus on business education. United States Online University (USOU) was founded in 2000 dedicated to meeting the educational needs of businesses.

The connection of United States Online University and ITD INTERNATIONAL represents one of the first endeavors to combine expertise from the business world and the academic world in a formalized university setting. While ITD INTERNATIONAL and United States Online University are independent entities, their relationship is a complementary one.
