Purpose
United States Online University (USOU) is the first global education network dedicated to assist training and performance professionals in their approach to improve competence, productivity and performance at the workplace.
USOU assists universities, corporate training departments, training institutes and consulting companies by providing cutting-edge competency-based programs and curricula that meet the highest standards of academic excellence and educational innovation.
USOU is a university for universities with a research faculty and program development team of more than twenty members. Implementation of the programs is conducted by ITD International and its worldwide network of consultant partners.
USOU does not enroll students and does not offer academic degrees. Its pograms are offered solely through partner universities, corporate universities as well as training- and consulting companies.
History
ITD International started in 1969 in Germany and expanded to the USA in 1989. ITD is an internationally recognized performance consulting firm. It was a natural evolution in the late 1990’s when the management team of ITD began to explore the feasibility of founding a university with a focus on business education. United States Online University (USOU) was founded in 2000.
The connection of United States Online University and ITD International represents one of the first endeavors to combine expertise from the business world and the academic world in a formalized university setting. While United States Online University and ITD International are independent entities, their relationship is a complementary one.

Since 1971 National University - a private, accredited, and nonprofit institution of higher education - has provided diverse populations access to quality lifelong learning opportunities. As an affiliate of the National University System, the institution is committed to providing exemplary educational opportunities to diverse populations of students and organizations.
National offers education through a unique one-course-per-month format, over 60 undergraduate and graduate degrees, and 16 teacher credential and certificate programs. Disciplines include business, technology, criminal justice, computers, education, human services, nursing, counseling, arts and sciences, and more.
National is proudly ranked in the "Top 100" colleges and universities awarding bachelor's and master's degrees to minorities in all disciplines each year since the U.S. Office of Education began collecting such data in 1996.

Philanthropy Programs
The United States Online University has a long tradition of conducting not-for-profit educational projects. In continuation of its "pay it forward" tradition, the University is embarking on a worldwide challenge. After the events of September 11 it is now more obvious than ever that isolation is impossible and that the future of the world will be defined by global relationships.The best foundation for productive international relationships is education, training and development. The University, therefore, sponsors educational projects which promote respect among people across political and cultural boundaries.
